What should a person do to before playing a VR game for the first time? I know they make some people nauseous, is there any tips to avoid that? anything a person should do to prepare before jumping into the VR world?September 30, 2018 at 4:03 pm #1623therealjamesParticipant
One tip would be to sit down while you play. For most games, most of the time you can play seated and that way avoid getting nauseous.
Also it’s not a bad idea to take breaks from time to time, like every 20-30 minutes.
I’ve also heard that it helps to get a fan in the room, but to place it on a good enough distance from you so that it doesn’t interfere with the motion sensors.October 1, 2018 at 10:30 am #1673timboooParticipant
There’s a lot of work going on for motion sickness in VR so it should be gone in the next few years hopefully!!October 2, 2018 at 2:33 am #1700AnonymousInactive
Sit straight and focus on the game. Feeling nauseous could sometimes be psychological. Also, it usually gets relieved in a few days, because your brain gets used to it. Just imagine sailing, you get nauseous at first, then it gets relieved. Well, anti-emetics can be your last resort. It’s an over-the-counter drug, though I don’t advice it.
